Pawsome! Farmer’s Dog fetches first place in USA Today’s Super Bowl Ad Meter

Holy kibble! The top dog of this year’s Super Bowl Ad Meter is none other than The Farmer’s Dog! Their pawsome 60-second commercial chronicles the lifetime of a chocolate Labrador named Bear, who grows up with his owner from childhood to adulthood.

With a tail-wagging score of 6.56 out of 10, this in-house directed ad is set to the tune of Lee Fields’ “Forever.” Congrats to The Farmer’s Dog for fetching the top spot!

Diana Flores, the quarterback of Mexico’s women’s national flag football team, snagged second place in the Super Bowl Ad Meter with the ad “Run With It.” This 90-second spot features Flores being chased by a bunch of people, including Erin Andrews, Cam Heyward, Aidan Hutchinson, Sauce Gardner, Jalen Ramsey, and yes, even her own mom! Despite all the chasing, Flores manages to stay one step ahead, showing off her impressive speed and agility. With a score of 6.38, this ad is definitely one to watch. Great job, Diana, and everyone who made this ad a winner.

Dogs are definitely a winning theme, as proven by Amazon’s “Saving Sawyer” ad taking third place in the Super Bowl Ad Meter with a score of 6.35. In this ad, a lonely dog becomes destructive when left home alone, so the family adopts another pup to keep it company. What a paw-some solution!

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez also had their shining moment in the commercial spotlight, as their Dunkin’ ad scored 6.34, nabbing fourth place. And who could forget Frito-Lay’s “Breaking Bad” ad for PopCorners, featuring the show’s beloved cast and a score of 6.26?

Unfortunately, not every ad was a winner. U2’s ominous sphere roaming over a city in their 15-second spot failed to impress viewers, earning a measly 3.7 out of 10.

But let’s not dwell on the past. Congratulations to all the winners, including last year’s champ Rocket Mortgage with their “Barbie Dreamhouse” ad starring Anna Kendrick. Can’t wait to see what next year’s Super Bowl has in store!
