Job Description:

Microchip is seeking a Sr. Marketing Specialist for our Analog business unit. In this role you will be responsible for the tactical execution of marketing functions such as price quotations, revenue tracking, part demand forecasting, and product life cycle management. This position will work closely with the business unit’s Product Line Marketing Managers and collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product Engineering, Corporate Planning, Quality, Finance, Sales, etc.) to support day-to-day marketing activities. Additionally, this role will collaborate with the business unit’s leadership and analytics team to develop quantitative and qualitative program goals with KPIs to help capture and communicate business results/performance trends.

Quoting/Pricing

  • Utilize Microchip’s pricing platform (Model N) to respond to daily quote requests
  • Approve quarterly and bi-annual contract pricing for top customers
  • Follow-up with Sales on large quotes and opportunities
  • Proactively monitor quoting activity to verify compliance to business unit & Corporate pricing objectives and to identify market trends

Product Line Support

  • Work closely with Product Line Marketing Managers to support day-to-day marketing activities and quarterly strategic reviews
  • Validate and maintain accurate part data within Microchip’s internal databases
  • Lead, drive, and execute on projects as assigned

Business Analytics

  • Focus on data and analytics to uncover key business insights and opportunities for scalable growth
  • Develop and shape the marketing analytics function – lead in helping to source and transform data into scalable dashboards and tools
  • Collaborate with analytics team and build Tableau dashboards for consumption across multiple business units and support organization

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration
  • 3+ years of experience in hi-tech industry, preferably in semiconductors, and in a business marketing or similar role
  • Experience with software platforms such as Microsoft SharePoint, Teams, PowerPoint, Tableau, Model N, and Salesforce
  • Microsoft Excel expertise with advanced knowledge of pivots, charts, and formulas
  • Experience developing demand assessments and qualifying and preparing pricing quotations
  • Ability to gather, sort, and turn large amounts of information and summarize to management
  • Experience creating and making highly effective presentations to management
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment and work effectively with cross-functional teams and various levels of the organization
