Job Description

Job Purpose or Objective(s): To provide support for the Marketing Director and Marketing Department in the preparation and execution of promotions, events, direct mail, sponsorships, advertising, and publicity. You will report to the Marketing Manager.

This role supports the Gaming Marketing

Location:

  • ONSITE in Durant, Oklahoma

Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday/8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

WEEKLY EARNED WAGE ACCESS IS AN OPTION FOR THIS POSITION

Primary Tasks:

1. Track the status of all ongoing projects, and work with the Director of Marketing to ensure that all deadlines are met, and materials are delivered.

2. Prepare written processes, documents, releases and work fluidly between marketing teams and departments we serve.

3. Ensure correct and accurate information on all communication platforms across multiple channels, including website, mobile app, onsite collateral, advertising materials, and signage.

4. Help complete events including divisional meetings, groundbreakings, ribbon cuttings, and grand openings for buildings built by the Division of Commerce or managed by the Division of Commerce or sponsorship partners.

5. Work with internal departments to develop and produce in-house collateral. Coordinate the distribution of collateral pieces.

6. Assist with distribution and posting of all promotional and advertising collateral.

7. Ensure all purchase requisitions and purchase order numbers are issued for each project and vendors receive purchase order numbers for billing reference. Track overall accounting to ensure record keeping, procedures, and budget guidelines are followed.

9. Assess donation requests and solicitations for new advertising opportunities then pass along recommendations to the Director of Marketing for final decision.

10. Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in marketing, communications, business administration or 1 plus years’ working experience will suffice
  • Entry-level familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office Suite proficient PowerPoint, Word, and Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets)
  • Intermediate proficiency Microsoft Outlook, encompassing email management, calendar usage, contact management, and basic formatting
  • Ability to write at standard business levels with minimal corrections to punctuation and grammar required and ability to proofread and correct errors.
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Prior experience in project management, proficient relationship management, and excellent collaboration skills
  • Six (6) months Marketing-related experience in any industry or comparable internship experience for at least one semester
