GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
The Marketing Coordinator uses the 4 P’s of Marketing and is responsible for the implementation and execution of marketing programs that support profitable base business growth, consumer satisfaction, and client retention. Help lead a marketing team to support all critical business initiatives including pricing, meal plan sales, overall sales growth, and consumer engagement. The coordinator serves as a champion and creative visionary working closely with the operations team to help bring both Aramark and the university’s vision and mission to life. You’ll thrive in this role if you are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, prioritize well, take initiative, and display sharp attention to detail.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Base Business Growth
· Responsible for executing and implementing base business growth programs and strategies to improve sales, ensure pricing accuracy, and increase voluntary meal plan participation/sales. Ensures all promotions, sales enablers, and other execution framework initiatives are implemented.
· Collaborates with the JMU Dining Director of Marketing & Student Engagement, and operations team to assist in writing the Client Business Review and is accountable for the data and results entered into analytics database
· Maintains effective customer relations as well as maintains strong relationships with all levels of the operations team to accomplish goals and objectives
· Look for opportunities to implement innovations, technology solutions, products, and services that support sales growth and client retention
· Measures results of marketing programs and gains customer feedback
· Ensures participation and analyze results from guest satisfaction surveys each semester
Team Development:
· Support the director in managing the marketing team to ensure all program logistics/projects are complete
· Works collaboratively with the marketing team to implement all national programs
· Supports operations team with administration of marketing, service excellence and suggestive selling training
· Responsible for maintaining website updates and all web-based tools
· Oversees the management of consistent campus-wide digital and print signage to ensure appropriate materials are in place. Coordinates print production when required.
· Works collaboratively with the Marketing Team and Resident District Manager to update the Client and Annual Business Review
· logistics/projects are complete
· Conduct research and data collection to assist with focus groups, surveying, trend development/research, and competitive pricing analysis

QUALIFICATIONS:
· Requires a bachelor’s degree and two years’ experience in marketing. Experience in the hospitality or food service industry is a plus.
· Effective sales, financial analysis, and presentation skills
· Multi-task and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
· Detail-oriented approach with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
· Excellent critical thinking, interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
· Self-starter with solid time management skills who can work independently or collaboratively with a team of creators and project managers
· A high level of technical, computer, and software skills is required for this position. The ability to use Google Workspace Suite (Gmail, Google Drive) and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and basic databases and software are required. Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud is a plus.
· This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or the usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
GENERAL DETAILS
· Employer: Aramark / Collegiate Hospitality Division
· Location: James Madison University (this is not a remote position)
· Local applicants preferred, but not required, as no relocation assistance is available
· Schedule: Weekdays with occasional nights and weekends. Plus required overtime at JMU Home Football Games
