Job Description

Oppenheimer Asset Management (OAM), a division of Oppenheimer, is seeking a Sales and Marketing Communications Associate to join their Sales and Marketing team in its New York City office location. This position will partner with Sales and Marketing team members and work with representatives from across the Oppenheimer Asset Management business lines to design and develop meaningful OAM communication materials. The individual (in collaboration with the team) will be responsible for driving numerous high-profile communications to successful completion every week, month, and quarter. He/she will also have the opportunity to grow into helping address expanding communication needs, including the development of new marketing materials (digital and traditional), client-facing communications, OAM conferences/events, and system wide calls.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the central point of contact for development and production for key OAM communications, internal and external, and ensuring their publication to system applications and portals. This process also includes:
• Gathering of all relevant information for each publication from various subject matter experts.
• Creating attention-grabbing email and social content that drives readership of the central publications
• Submitting materials for compliance review and managing comments and changes in coordination with subject matter exerts
• Relationship-building and continuous coordination with the Corporate Marketing team to ensure timely distribution.
• Create and maintain custom distribution lists within Outlook for various products and offerings
• Coordinate the review and approval process of marketing materials with appropriate members of the Legal and Compliance departments
• Ensure quality, accuracy and completeness of communication
• Serves as the escalation point for issues with communications
• Editing and assembling multimedia elements (sound/video/combination)
• Become the go-to expert in traditional and new communication platforms, including Outlook and Marketo

Qualifications

• Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Experienced with Microsoft Office products
• A willingness to learn and understand traditional and alternative asset classes
• Strong organizational skills and ability to generate accurate and coherent deliverables in a fast paced environment meeting deadline requirements
• 1-4 years of experience working in the financial markets or similar role
• BA or BS in related field
• Experience working with marketing planning and campaign tools and client engagement platforms a plus
  

Compensation

For job postings in New York State, Oppenheimer is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. This salary range is specific to the City of New York and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making salary decisions including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The current base salary offered for this role is $70,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as discretionary bonus.
