Project Manager

Job Description

Describe the primary goals, objectives or functions or outputs of this position.

The position is responsible for managing the Sales and Marketing Operations large cross-functional projects to include systems upgrades, process re-engineers and new product launches. These projects will be operational and broad-based, requiring collaborations across the US Commercial sales and marketing team, operations, information technology and key vendors.

Responsibilities:

  • Key activities include project plan development, schedule development and control, scope management, issue resolution, risk analysis, resource management and project status reporting.
  • Leverages knowledge of sales force goals, issues and structure to partner internally or externally with teams to develop and support Sales Operations’ strategies and objectives.
  • Manages the review and evaluation of planning, scheduling, organizing and controlling the activities of the project team. Sets project priorities, develops project plan, and project deliverables.
  • Responsible for identifying and managing risks, scope, issues and preparing mitigation strategies.
  • Produces project reports to provide timely and accurate project status and decision support information to project team and department manager.
  • Guides project plan development and ensures the integration and alignment with cross-departmental processes and other projects.
  • Manages vendor selection and the negotiation process. Manages supplier contracts and deliverables as assigned

Qualifications:

  • B.A. or B.S. degree required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Project Management
  • Possesses baseline competence Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)
