JOB MISSION:

We are looking to find a passionate Marketing Manager dedicated to creating fast-acting, innovative marketing strategies that will shape our brand presence and drive increased consumer traffic to our North America retail doors.

The Marketing Manager – DTC Retail, will be a key strategic thought leader and will partner with internal cross functional colleagues on understanding our customer, and fueling those learnings into digital and print marketing initiatives, with a specific focus on driving brand awareness, product awareness & store awareness for retail doors in North America (US and Canada).

This role will be responsible for supporting the planning, development and execution of the annual marketing strategies across multiple store formats; with an initial focus on New Balance Factory Stores and new store grand openings in the region (both inline & factory). This role will also ensure that the marketing outputs meet brand guidelines and partner deadlines and look to identify operational efficiencies internally where possible.

The Marketing Manager – DTC Retail will also be responsible for building internal & external business partnerships, managing a marketing budget, establishing go-to-market seasonal needs, executing in season marketing plans, and providing data measurement and analysis to stakeholders.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Develops strategy and overseeing execution of marketing strategies and programs; accountable for program results
Analyzes sales and traffic retail reports and market trends to identify marketing opportunities in partnership with cross functional teams.
Successfully works across a complex matrix organization, proactively building win-win relationships with key partners
Develops and aligns the annual marketing budget and manage the budget throughout the year for NA Factory Stores & New Stores (Factory & Inline)
Manages retail event plans/agency and liaisons with retail ops teams to ensure smooth production
Maximizes efficiency and ROI on all initiatives planned
Develops and executes grassroots marketing for Factory and new stores.
Develops improved creative briefing process
Plans and collaborates on factory product content/production needs.
Requests copy translations for marketing needs (email & paid media)
Plans, briefs, approves email campaign deliverables with internal email deployment team
Communicates to internal key stakeholders, as well as the field, timeframes, toolkits and best practices for best-in-class GTM execution
Plays a role with all key partnerships to ensure they are activated and maximized.
Collaborates with mall teams to ensure engagement in local communities and centers with coupon offers and paid media opportunities.
Clear & effective communication of team expectations, objectives & responsibilities, fostering an environment of clear & open communication
Stays current on new and emerging trends within the industry and across marketing

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

8+ years’ experience in a similar role
Excellent technical communication skills both verbal and written
Must have Microsoft Office Experience: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
Can work independently and prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
Strong administrative, organizational, and communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the proven ability to build/establish rapport with a diverse array of people as they’ll be working cross-functionally
Creative thinker with excellent troubleshooting skills
Proactive, self-motivated

Flexible Work Schedule

New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
