Marketing Events Coordinator

Reports to Marketing Director

Compensation $50-$65k

The Job

This is a highly collaborative position, working most directly with our sales and marketing teams on efforts that increase brand awareness, generate leads, and ultimately drive revenue. What do we mean by highly collaborative? If you are naturally introverted and would describe yourself as not much of a people person, this is not the gig for you.

The core focus of this role is event marketing and industry association strategy and execution. You will also assist with email marketing and sales material development. We are a small marketing team, so being well-rounded and having an “I’ll step in and take that on, learning something new along the way and furthering my skill set” sort of attitude is important.

Ideal Candidate

Highly organized

Detail oriented (we can’t emphasize this enough).

Stellar time management skills and deadline focused

You’re a natural problem solver that can pivot on demand, keeping cool, calm, and collected. You have a mindset that there’s always some solution and you get it done.

You’re a do-er. You see something is needed and you take action.

You value work/life balance (because we certainly do).

Core Responsibilities

Sales Team Support: Work together with our sales reps and sales directors to identify and evaluate marketing opportunities for us to improve brand awareness, generate leads, and drive revenue in their markets. Much of this will be industry association related and you will help manage our engagement (the sales rep will be the local ‘face of the company’) and event involvement to help the sales rep maximize their (and our collective) presence.? To do this effectively, you will meet regularly with our sales reps and with our regional sales teams (virtually).

Event Marketing: Evaluate, plan, coordinate logistics, promote and periodically, work in-person and virtual events (with sales reps) as needed. Minimally, you will attend and work alongside our sales team at our regional and national multi-day events (~5/year). Periodically, you will also join the sales reps you support at their local events, as needed (typically when the Sales Director has a conflict). This typically includes trade shows, sponsored events, and Kings III hosted events. You will manage from end to end, this includes budget management, handling and upkeep of trade show materials as well as post-event tracking.

CRM Event Campaign Management: Where the rubber really meets the road on our event efforts (and all marketing efforts) is when it is reliably tracked to revenue. This includes ensuring that all leads generated are imported, tagged for tracking, and handed off to the appropriate teams for follow-up in a timely manner. You will work with other stakeholders on this, (for example, you will not import leads directly although you will manually enter data into the CRM at times), but you own the follow-through.??

Internal Event Planning & Management: You will be the lead on the marketing team for planning internal Kings III events, such as our annual meeting in January and our annual sales incentive trip.

Email Marketing: For your role, this will predominantly consist of pre- and post-event email communication, but everyone on our team currently dabbles in email marketing so there will be special email campaigns and projects here and there that you are pulled in to help with or lead as well.

Marketing Vendor Relationships: Manage marketing department key vendor relationships (business cards, apparel portal, promotional items, etc.)

Additional Responsibilities as Needed

Content Development: Everyone on our marketing team pitches in on content development where needed at times, whether related to sales literature, a blog article, or an advertisement. You should be well-written and confident in leading the development of materials appropriate for our target market. Light graphic design to facilitate content. Not a graphics design expert? Neither are any of us on the team. We can help with the tools; you just need the “I’m excited to learn and develop my skills” mindset.

Special Campaign Work: We are constantly evaluating additional topics and/or market-specific opportunities. This might mean dabbling in direct mail periodically, for instance, or special Kings III promo packages for a specific area of focus (helping customers celebrate a recent award they received, for example).

The obligatory ‘other duties as required’, that speaks to our small, agile team in a fast-growing company and the importance of a can do / let me take that on attitude’.

About Our Company:
At Kings III, we provide critical communication services to help people in distress. We answer the call when seconds count. We know because we’ve been making them count when it matters most for over 30 years. Self-motivated and a quick learner who can work independently as well as part of a team

Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects/events

Naturally curious and focused on tracking and using data to identify what’s working and what’s not then pivoting as necessary. This role needs someone that is metric driven.

Goal-oriented and dependable

Positive, competitive, and determined attitude. A sense of humor is a plus! (a must, really)

Superior oral and written communication

Above average interpersonal skills

Travel will be negligible with high season during certain times of the year, but flexibility to do so up to 20% of the time if needed
