Job Opening Summary

Manages marketing and communication activities designed to promote UF Health and its lines of business, programs and services to key target audiences. Responsible for supporting strategies that enhance system preference and growth. The ideal candidate will work proactively to develop marketing and communication plans in support of internal client growth and awareness needs, track effectiveness of those efforts against measurable objectives, and report on success. The candidate will continually improve to maximize impact.

Job Opening Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations or related area required.
  • A minimum of two to three years of direct experience in planning and coordinating advertising and public relations initiatives, preferably in health care or a geographically dispersed setting.
    • Commensurate experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Must have knowledge of communications and public relations within a diverse organization.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to work well with physicians, corporate executives, health care professionals and the general public.

Motor Vehicle Operator Designation:

  • Employees in this position will operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a “non-frequent driver.”

NOTE: A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or Shands automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job.

Shift hours: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – FridayReport job
