The Marketing Analyst will be responsible for gathering and interpreting data related to brand/product/seafood category consumers and their buying habits. The individual will present insights and KPI reports to the Trade and Channel Marketing Manager and Marketing Director and collaborate in strategic presentations. The role will also require assisting the Trade and Channel Marketing Manager in the planning and coordination of various events to support the sales force.
Responsibilities
- Perform valid and reliable market research SWOT analysis.
- Utilize online market research platforms to generate consumer insights driven reports.
- Devise and evaluate methods for collecting data (Surveys, Questionnaires, Opinion Polls).
- Formulate Templates for Monthly Sales & Marketing analysis. Collect monthly brand marketing KPIs.
- Interpret data, formulate reports and make recommendations.
- Gather and analyze statistical data using modern and traditional methods to collect it.
- Remain fully informed on market trends, other parties researches and implement best practices.
- Analyze qualitative data, trends, strategies, and competition aiming at increasing competitiveness.
- Work with digital sales, marketing and media tools to generate data, dashboards and in real time information (e.i. IRI, Nielsen, Retail Link, Google Analytics, Facebook, Comscore, Premise Data, or others).
- Prepare marketing campaign results, create data visualizations and product performance analysis.
- Collect data on competitors’ marketing tactics, sales prices and product/service distribution.
- Identify target audiences and gather web analytics to prepare strategies for success in marketing campaigns with an impact on marketing and sales outcomes.
- Responsible for tracking, reporting, and analyzing the performance of marketing activities, ad- hoc analytic requests, and regular reports.
- Design and present PowerPoint presentation of key research finding and insights.
- Coordinate trade and channel events.
- Liaise with outside vendors on various projects.
Qualifications
- Superior knowledge of software such as Excel and PowerPoint or other data analysis platforms/programs.
- Strong organizational, communication and presentation skills.
- Proven ability in handling concurrent projects with detail and accuracy.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- 2 to 5 years’ experience creating analysis reports for presentations and strategic planning.
- Familiarity with Knowledge and experience with syndicated data analysis platforms such as IRI Circana and Nielsen Insights.
- Have participated in consumer insights projects and generating questionnaires and project research briefings.
- Adequate knowledge of data collection methods (polls, focus groups, surveys etc).
- Possess search engines, web analytics, and business research tools acumen.
- Deep understanding of digital marketing across social, display, and programmatic platforms.
- Working knowledge with CRM programs a plus.
- Familiarity with retailer POS data driven platforms a plus.
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms a plus.
- Familiarity with event planning a plus.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related degree preferred.
