About the job
The Manager, Product Marketing, Upromise will serve as its steward and champion. The individual will own and execute product, marketing, and operational strategy to achieve the financial goals of Upromise. This leader will successfully work to develop external partnerships and requisition the internal resources needed within a matrix organization.

We are actively seeking candidates based in the Los Angeles area for this position. This role is hybrid, and candidates must be able to fulfill an in-office requirement of 3 days per week. ***

Detailed Job Duties: (typical monthly, weekly, daily tasks which support the primary objectives)

Product Marketing
Define and expanding the Upromise brand position via a product- and marketing-driven approach
Partner with the Acquisition Marketing team so that Upromise can maximize and optimize marketing traffic from various digital channels with an eye on member-generated revenue
Coordinate with Promotions team to produce campaigns that capitalize on seasonal events, drive adoption of the product experience, and manage retention efforts
Drive the Upromise Mastercard program towards sustained portfolio growth through credit card acquisition strategy, existing cardholder marketing, and portfolio retention efforts while partnering with Barclays (its issuing bank) and Mastercard to maximize operational efficiency
Collaborate with the Finance & Business Operations functions to ensure that Upromise is operating within and towards its financial goals
Product Management
Collaborating with paired Product and Technology resources to introduce product improvements that improve all aspects of the user journey – from registration and activation to retention, monetization, and referral
Work closely with engineering teams to translate product requirements into technical specifications and user stories.
Work closely with Revenue and Product teams to, drive product adoption; retention and increase RPU
Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of the platform, identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization
Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging technologies related to loyalty and rewards platforms;leverage competitive insights to inform product strategy and differentiate our offerings in the market.
Management
Oversee a direct report to insure that the following strategic activities are executed at the highest level
(Partnership Management) Heading strategic partnerships, notably those with Barclays, Mastercard, 529 college savings plans and others in order to support new member acquisition, current member engagement, and the Upromise brand
(Operations) Support monthly redemption process of nearly $4 million in member rewards, including a financial transfer platform migration and integration
(Customer Care) Work with the Customer Service team to ensure that proper customer service levels are maintained; driving engagement strategies and being a champion for the brand so that NPS levels remain worldclass
(Business Intelligence) Implement a robust system to monitor key metrics such as Monthly Active Users (MAU), Lifetime Value (LTV), Activation Rates, Retention Rates, and A/B Testing Results. Provide regular reports and actionable recommendations to measure the effectiveness of consumer marketing campaigns, user engagement, and overall brand performance. Monitor KPIs, analyze and design marketing campaigns; utilizing internal resources to build new dashboards and reports
Additional Management Responsibilities

Performance Management: setting and managing goals, on-going coaching, corrective action, annual reviews, rewards/recognition, and team/individual development.
Employee Life Cycle Management: headcount forecasting, job descriptions, recruiting/hiring, termination
Governance: ensuring compliance to company policy/practice (e.g. attendance, behavior, workplace attire), ensuring compliance to employment law (e.g. time keeping, anti-harassment and diversity).
Leadership: ensures availability to staff, team building, building rapport with individuals, encouraging strong collaborative relationships between individuals and departments, facilitating a healthy work/life mix, solicits and applies feedback (internal and external to team), self-improvement as a leader/manager of people.
Culture Ambassador: proactively demonstrate and cultivate a culture of cooperative collaboration, strong work ethic, solutions-orientation, quality focus, results-orientation, relaxed/enjoyable atmosphere, team- and individual- celebration, and company/product pride.

What does SUCCESS look like?

Achieving significant growth in the Upromise brand’s market position by optimizing member acquisition and revenue through digital marketing channels, and enhancing the user experience across the entire journey. Achieving strong collaboration with key partners like Barclays and Mastercard to drive the Upromise Mastercard program’s growth, ensuring financial targets are met, and maintaining high customer service standards. Effective monitoring and analysis of key performance indicators to inform strategic decisions and campaign optimizations would be essential for success.

The MUST Haves: (ex: job cannot be done without these skills, education, experience, certifications, licenses)

At least 5+ years of experience managing a digital media business with either a product management or
marketing background.
At least 1+ years managing direct reports.
Familiarity with subscription and member-based business models.
Analytical skills to monitor and interpret key performance indicators
Proven leadership abilities and the capability to drive cross-functional collaboration, are crucial. A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field.

The Nice to Haves: (ex: preferred additional skills, education, experience, certifications, licenses)

Credit card marketing and industry experience is a significant plus.

Pay Transparency

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $110,000 to $150,000. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include, but are not limited to; the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, the type and length of knowledge and skills for the position, education, training, etc. Prodege is a multi-state employer and final compensation within this range could be impacted by work location. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
