Junior Marketing Specialist With Copywriting Skills
ON-SITE 4 DAYS A WEEK, WESTERN SUBURBS- WFH 1 DAY A WEEK, WITH NO DEVIATION
Are you a food and beverage trend watcher with an eye for marketing? Our B2B global client has an exciting opportunity to join their growing marketing team! The ideal candidate is resourceful, creative and energetic with the ability to think innovatively in developing content for customer trend presentations and marketing collateral. This robust role is a GREAT way for a junior professional to really spread his/her wings taking on a variety of tasks such as market research, presentation building and copywriting ALL while receiving excellent training and guidance from team members and managers.
Overall, this person will work on a variety of B2B marketing initiatives with assisting the Senior Marketing Specialist in the following areas:
- Market research via a variety of outlets: Trade Pubs, Influencers, Market Analysis, etc.
- Creation and delivery of trend insight presentations (via PowerPoint)
- Copywriting skills used for presentations, blogs, newsletters, brochures and pamphlets
Breakdown of responsibilities:
Market Research
- Assist the Senior Marketing Specialist by conducting market research on product and consumer trends within various segments of the food and beverage industry by following the latest news from data platforms, industry organizations, market research reports, social media, webinars, and press
- Utilize insights to contribute to product and flavor ideation sessions for new product concepts, along with content for customer presentations
- Conduct GAP analysis to find new opportunities for clients in their flavor portfolio
- Author bi-monthly flavor trend email campaign
Presentations
- Develop and present PowerPoint presentations on market trends for customer meetings, industry conferences, and virtual events
- Supporting customer requests via creation of marketing collateral for US and international accounts
- Present clients with innovative ideas to maximize their current portfolios
Writing:
- Write, edit, and distribute content (blog posts, press releases, and editorials) for B2B food and beverage industry professionals
Social Media:
- Create content to direct online traffic to our website and social media pages, generating engagement and new leads
Other:
- Support tradeshow and event execution
- Write proposal submissions for speaking events
- Assist in executing company promotional events
Must have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or other related field
- Interest and excited to work in the food and beverage industry
- Exceptional research skills and ability to organize data
- Strong Presentation skills – ability to speak to all levels of the organization
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Capable of analyzing market trends and applying strategic knowledge
- Ability to travel 1-2 days out of town. Schedules will vary, some months one might travel a couple of times and then nothing the next month (domestically)
