JOB DUTIES:

As a Human Resource Partner, you will:

  • Providing guidance and leadership to members of the senior leadership team regarding workforce and employee development best practices.
  • Providing hiring teams with assistance in developing recruitment and selection strategies;
  • Advising managers on best personnel practices and assisting in developing and implementing performance standards;
  • Interpreting department and State of Montana personnel policies, State and Federal employment and labor laws and the Department’s collective bargaining agreements;
  • Conducting investigations and assisting the HR Director and managers in determining when and what response or disciplinary action is appropriate;
  • Helping managers write job descriptions and classifying a wide array of positions;
  • Assisting in the management and implementation of the Department’s compensation pay plan.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Your preparation for this opportunity could include a combination of relevant experiences including:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in human resource management, business or public administration, labor relations or directly related field and one year of job-related experience.
  • The incumbent must be a certified classifier under the State of Montana’s classification system or be willing and able to obtain the certification within the first year of employment.
  • PHR/SPHR certification is preferred.
