Discord was built without selling ads and instead offers premium subscriptions directly to users.  Our primary revenue driver today is Nitro, which gives users special perks like higher-quality streams and fun customizations.  Nitro has grown rapidly over the last few years, but we know there is more we can do.  Our goal is to create a premium offering that every Discord user will want, and build a robust multi-billion dollar business.

We are looking for a Group Product Marketing Manager to lead the Nitro Growth & Lifecycle PMM team. In this high visibility role, you will work cross-functionally to grow Discord Nitro by developing and implementing innovative approaches to acquire and retain customers, leveraging owned & paid marketing channels. You will also lead our lifecycle marketing efforts, working with a talented team of experts to build and scale CRM programs across email, in-app, and push. You will report to our Director of Product Marketing.

What you will do
  • Lead core product marketing efforts for Discord Nitro, including positioning, pricing and packaging, messaging, and branding.
  • Manage the Nitro Growth Marketing team to drive revenue growth through scaled full funnel acquisition and retention programs, in close partnership with Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams.
  • Help to craft the Nitro growth roadmap, developing the positioning and messaging for new features & experiences, building go-to-market strategies, and owning the success of those launches.
  • Oversee Partner Marketing for Nitro, working closely with Business Development to identify high-potential partnerships and bring them to market.
  • Lead a team of Lifecycle Marketers to oversee the ideation, development, and implementation of cross-channel CRM programs, including the advancement of our MarTech stack.
What you should have
  • 9+ years of experience growing and scaling consumer tech products globally
  • 4+ experience managing growth product marketing teams, including direct experience on CRM / Lifecycle
  • Excel in ambiguous environments – excited about finding solutions to complex problems
  • Expertise in using qualitative and quantitative data to build products and user stories
  • Ability to guide cross-functional teams toward decisions and execution
Bonus Points
  • Product development/management or product design experience
  • Experience with subscription products
  • Additional marketing experience in brand, media, or communications
  • Entrepreneurial or start-up background
  • SQL knowledge

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $203,000 to $221,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include equity, or benefits.
