We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Director of Marketing to lead our marketing initiatives in the dynamic and rapidly evolving aerospace industry. As a key member of our Business Development leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing plans that elevate our brand, drive customer engagement, and contribute to the overall success of our company.
In this position, you will develop and implement a focused communications strategy for the company to build and maintain a positive and progressive corporate branding. We will rely heavily on your knowledge of market trends, ability to identify opportunities, content writing, and delivering internal and external corporate branding messages for employees and clients alike.
The successful candidate will be highly experienced in working in a fast-paced, hyper-growth environment, with the ability to develop and communicate a brand that furthers our mission, values, and future roadmap. The ideal candidate is extremely organized, articulate, flexible, quick to grasp business needs, a team player, an excellent written and oral communicator, and eager to lead.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute the overall marketing strategy to create awareness of the company’s products within the aerospace industry.
- Work closely with the leadership team to lead and execute a marketing strategy including digital marketing, content, customer marketing, brand, events and social media.
- Own budget, metrics and foster an understanding of our efforts through internal reporting and sharing of results in leadership meetings; implement data-driven decision-making by reviewing and improving reporting sets for marketing function.
- Collaborate with Engineering and leadership to continue to develop, create and improve all communication channels and expand company reach within the industry.
- Develop strong branding and communications strategies including writing news releases, blog posts, pitches, speeches, and other written materials; experience in creating and drafting engaging social media content.
- Build and lead a high-performing marketing team, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities.
- Oversee brand development and maintenance, ensuring consistency and alignment with the organization’s values and objectives.
- Master’s degree in marketing, advertising, or communications
- Represent the company to form strategic partnerships with media, oversee public relations efforts, and write press releases.
- Oversee the planning and execution of tradeshows, conferences, and industry events.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of marketing efforts with overall business objectives.
- Utilize data and analytics to make informed decisions and guide marketing strategies.
- Manage the creation of the sales and branded materials by working with creative team and external vendors.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a relevant marketing position.
- Proven success in a senior marketing role, preferably within the aerospace industry.
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing strategic B2B marketing and communications plans.
- In-depth knowledge of technology, engineering, and/or aerospace telecommunications.
- Experience with digital marketing forms such as social media marketing and content marketing.
- Ability to adapt and navigate evolving internal priorities, market trends, industry shifts and startup challenges.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and professional skills.
- Sense of urgency, with ability to work well under pressure.
- A positive, team-player attitude.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Master’s degree in marketing, advertising, or communications.
- Established a portfolio of media and PR contacts.
- Familiarity with aerospace technologies, market dynamics, and regulatory landscape.
- Experience with the NewSpace or aerospace telecommunications industries.
- Previous experience working within a startup.
