Director of Development

Reporting to and in partnership with the Executive Director (ED), the Development Director (Director) will spearhead development efforts as Courage Reins continues to grow. Responsible for planning, organizing, and directing Courage Reins’ fundraising and marketing efforts. Works closely with the leadership team and volunteer program to achieve the mission of Courage Reins.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute Courage Reins’ annual fundraising plan
  • Secure financial support from individuals, foundations and corporations
  • Identify, research, and apply for grants that would benefit Courage Reins,
  • Manage and maintain the social media accounts of Courage Reins (Facebook, Instagram, web page, etc.)
  • Develop and maintain relationships with potential and existing donors
  • Creating and execute on a strategy for a large, sustained base of annual individual donors
  • Oversee the organization of special events to promote and educate the mission of Courage Reins
  • Develop and track the fundraising efforts of the organization and then report to Executive Director and other members of the leadership team
  • Develops and executes on annual marketing plan
  • Provide direction and leadership to the Volunteer Program Manager
  • Oversee fundraising database and tracking systems
  • Oversee creation of marketing materials to support Courage Reins programs and fund raising

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated excellence in organizational, managerial, and communication skills
  • Must embrace the mission of Courage Reins
  • Strong interpersonal and writing skills.
  • Have knowledge and experience in fund raising techniques
  • Possess the skills to work with and motivate staff and volunteers
  • Skilled in building external relationships.
  • Proven track record of successful marketing campaigns
  • Self-motivated to accomplish personal and organizational goals
  • Bachelor’s degree or similar
  • 5 years minimum experience in professional fundraising.

SALARY/BENEFITS:

  • Competitive/commensurate with experience and other qualifications.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
