Monitors the preparation and distribution of social media posts, website updates, and promotional materials.Ensures all materials adhere to appropriate university guidelines and standards by proofing and editing deliverables.Maintains a current understanding and expertise related to emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in social media and communicates knowledge clearly to others.Recruits, hires, trains, supervises, and evaluates student employees and graduate assistant(s).Collaborates with University departments, organizations, and external groups to oversee departmental outreach through tabling and presentation opportunities.Establishes and maintains relationships with internal and external agencies to provide continued support of Campus Recreation programs through advertising partnerships.Develops departmental advertising agreements and oversees submissions to contractual management.Oversees the planning, implementation, and evaluation of designated departmental special events.Coordinates with existing advertising partners and assists with recruiting additional partners for departmental special events.Tracks position-related revenue, expenditures, and prepares monthly reports.Facilitates market research and makes recommendations to the department.Designs and implements marketing programs to support the expansion of recreational facilities, programs, and services.Assists in establishing and implementing short- and long-term goals, objectives, policies, and procedures supporting both program and departmental success.Represents Campus Recreation on various committees, boards and associations.Performs similar or related duties as assigned or required.Essential FunctionsThese essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following. ANDExperience:One (1) year of experience related to the above described duties.
