Job Description

About the job

Join Skilljar’s growing marketing team as our Associate Product Marketing Manager. This is an exciting time to be a marketer at Skilljar, as we are building upon a strong foundation and have a clear plan for the year ahead. Your role will be instrumental in crafting Skilljar’s go-to-market strategies, understanding and defining customer needs, and fostering strong collaboration across product, sales, and marketing teams to tell the Skilljar story. You will directly work with and learn from the Director of Product Marketing, and partner closely with all members of the marketing team—spanning from the VP of marketing to demand generation and content.

This role offers a rewarding opportunity to rapidly bring your work to market, collaborating with a dedicated and forward-thinking team. It’s ideal for those who value seeing immediate impacts from their efforts and enjoy working in a dynamic, focused environment.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead product launch strategies, including coordination, content creation, and sales enablement (e.g. running a product release calendar, email communications, launch blog posts, and in-app messages)
  • Partner with teams such as Customer Experience, Sales Enablement, and Product Management to build multi-channel product adoption plans
  • Prioritize and create compelling sales materials based on Sales team requests, such as 1-pagers, slides, and interactive demos – and ultimately own our library of product assets
  • Track competitor updates and prepare assets to optimally position Skilljar versus competitors— attend competitor product webinars, share insights, and write competitor messaging for campaigns
  • Craft targeted messaging to highlight Skilljar’s value and maintain the company messaging guide
  • Create evergreen personas to train Sales, offering insight into who they are, their jobs-to-be-done, and what problems Skilljar solves for them
  • Rigorously test and optimize messaging for new web pages to continuously improve them
  • Develop case studies, website content, and other marketing materials in partnership with the content team to establish Skilljar as a leader in customer education

Requirements

  • 1 year in a Product Marketing role or 2+ years of marketing experience, preferably in B2B SaaS
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent written, verbal, and project management skills
  • Highly collaborative and able to partner well with cross-functional teams
  • Previous start-up experience is a plus – flexibility to quickly adapt and adjust your strategy to align with evolving business needs
  • Experience using in-platform messaging tools such as Intercom preferred
  • Understanding of the challenges and motivators for personas working in training, customer education or learning and development is a plus

We believe that the more inclusive we are, the better our work will be. Even if your previous experience doesn’t perfectly match with the job qualifications listed, we encourage you to apply.
