Responsibilities:
- Execute the specific product strategy(s) across the portfolio and consistent with the total portfolio performance expectations.
- Create tactical performance plans against the specific product strategy.
- Develop key tracking and reporting mechanisms to monitor product performance.
- Formulate and review long-term plans, goals, and objectives for specific product/product line.
- Prepare budget and resources for product-specific financials and their impact on the overall budget through ROI analysis.
- Prepare LBE plans monthly as well as Monthly Operating Review presentations.
- Manage the current portfolio and provide key reports and views of the market for new product selection and rationalization.
- Evaluate SKU-level in-market product profitability, new product viability, and new customer viability.
- Organize the collection of market research, customer inputs, and in-house data to be rolled up into a comprehensive view from the zone to other internal stakeholders.
- Serve as a key contributor and manager in generating the customer level forecast to be utilized for demand generation for products. Manage approved promotional strategies and discounts to achieve budgeted objectives of sales volume, market share and profitability. This will include taking the lead on the failure to supply/penalty process and review.
- Develop a complete view of competitive offerings and execute the designed tools for the sales teams with appropriate positioning and promotional tools to differentiate product(s).
- Manage the pricing activities for new products as well as existing products to achieve targeted market share while maintaining acceptable profit generation.
- Manage Failure to Supply/Penalties as the lead reviewer and collaborate with all key areas to be proactive and efficient/accurate on claim disputes.
- Work closely with the National Account team to understand specific customer programs to participate to drive compliance within the customer.
- Work to understand current revenue models and identify areas of growth within the existing portfolio or new opportunities.
- Work with the Portfolio & BD Teams to identify market opportunities.
- Understand portfolio molecules that are not currently generating revenue and determine if/how/when we can maximize any value from them.
- Maximize Supply Chain productivity and inventory availability.
- Interact strategically with Supply Chain colleagues to bring together the key objectives for commercial management with supply chain objectives and possibilities.
- Generate value from Short-dated & overstock product management.
- Identify the products that are getting short-dated monthly and then work with marketing managers to finalize the product list to generate sales.
- Coordinate sales of short-date products with key customer groups (SoS Rx, Pharmabid) and ensure the sale process is completed.
- Ensure that we meet sales targets for the year based on sales done through Short dated and overstock product lists.
- Customer allocation
- Create customer allocation files monthly.
- Work with product managers to finalize the product allocations by customers monthly.
- Execute the allocation change requests as and when required.
- Private Label
- End-to-end management of private label business.
- Work with operations team in India to ensure seamless product supply to customers.
- Maintain relationship of various private label customers
Requirements & Preferred Skills, Competencies, and Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing, finance, business, or a related area.
- Seven or more years of total work in a professional setting, preferably with large portfolios
- Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic fast-paced customer environment.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- Experience working alongside analysts and managing in the generic pharmaceutical space.
- An understanding of supply chain and manufacturing processes is preferred.
- Understanding key marketing functions and strategies is essential.
- Proficiency in communications and presentations required.
