Reports to: Vice President of Marketing

Supervises: Marketing & Communications Work Study

Manage the daily marketing activities and initiatives within the Office of Marketing and Communications to ensure a smooth project flow and timely, goal-focused completion of initiatives central to both student recruitment and constituent engagement.

Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, or related field, or equivalent marketing experience in a nonprofit or higher education environment.

Experience: One to three (1-3) years’ experience in a marketing, communications, or similar professional environment. Experience in a higher education environment preferred.

Essential Duties:

  • Coordinate the workflow within the Office of Marketing and Communications including but not limited to the production of printed publications, digital campaigns, and photo and video shoots.
  • Manage daily and annual marketing budgets to ensure fiduciary responsibility through accurate and timely processing of invoices, contracts, and more.
  • Oversee the production and management of campus newsletters produced by the Office of Marketing and Communications.
  • Copyedit and proofread written and produced materials for core audiences related to both recruitment and constituent engagement.
  • Assist with the generation and distribution of press releases to relevant media outlets, including the maintenance of accurate and relevant media distribution lists.
  • Collaborate with, manage, and keep records of partnerships with third-party vendors including printers, advertising agencies, and MarTech partners.
  • Advocate for consistent branding, design, and messaging across all marketing channels including print, email, web, social media, etc.
  • Assist other Marketing & Communications staff with copywriting, editing, graphic design, visual content production, website updates, and other core tasks aligned with the individual’s skillset.

Other Duties:

  • Assist the Vice President for Marketing in maintaining a comprehensive and efficient project flow across all initiatives.
  • Assist the Vice President for Marketing with maintaining accurate records of publications and advertising related to student recruitment for all departments in the College.
  • Assist in managing media inquiries related to current events and potential coverage opportunities.
  • Participate in a variety of College activities and events as requested and appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Special Challenges and Environment:

Performs in a fast-paced office environment that requires quick responses to story ideas and external requests, managing many deadline-oriented projects concurrently, and maintaining high quality standards for any produced physical and digital materials. Work will be highly visible by core College stakeholders and requires frequent public contact.

10% local/regional travel is required.
