Job Summary
We’re looking for a creative and driven Marketing Specialist to join our growing marketing team. This role will be instrumental in developing and executing a range of marketing campaigns, including email marketing, social media, and content creation to support our lead generation and communication efforts with agents in the field. As a key contributor, the Marketing Specialist will collaborate across departments to ensure that marketing efforts align with the company’s growth objectives. This position reports to the Marketing Director.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic marketing campaigns to support business objectives and brand awareness
- Create and manage content for a variety of marketing channels, including email, social media, and websites
- Design visually compelling marketing materials using drag-and-drop platforms and design tools
- Utilize marketing automation tools to streamline campaign workflows and drive efficiency
- Track and analyze campaign performance metrics (e.g., open rates, click-through rates) and recommend optimizations
- Stay informed on marketing trends and best practices to continually improve campaigns and strategies
- Collaborate with internal teams to translate marketing strategies into actionable marketing plans and programs
- Write engaging copy for a variety of content types (newsletters, promotional emails, social media posts, blog articles, landing pages, and more) tailored to target audiences
- Develop and maintain a content calendar to ensure timely and consistent delivery of content
- Manage and grow GarityAdvantage’s presence on social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram
- Research industry competitors and stay current on developments in the senior insurance marketplace
Primary Skills & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in marketing, with a focus on campaign development, content creation, and digital marketing tools
- Proficiency in marketing automation tools (e.g., Constant Contact, HubSpot, Marketo, SharpSpring, etc.) and content management systems (e.g., WordPress)
- Strong writing skills and an eye for detail, with experience in proofreading and editing
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and optimize campaigns accordingly
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Illustrator, Express) or similar design tools
- Familiarity with social media management tools and best practices for LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Self-starter with the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
Preferred Skills & Requirements:
- Experience in Medicare or insurance marketing/distribution
- Familiarity with A/B testing and personalization techniques in email marketing
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and experience using Google Analytics
- Experience with print and direct mail marketing (flyers, postcards, banners)
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel and data management
