About the role:
At an exciting time for BenchPrep, as we expand our platform to support more learning use cases, we are seeking a dynamic Product Marketing Manager. This role requires a self-starting, team-oriented individual passionate about spearheading marketing initiatives across the entire product lifecycle. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Marketing, you will drive commercial outcomes, enhance product adoption, expand our total addressable market (TAM), and optimize revenue from both new and existing logos. You will engage in strategic planning and execution, aligning closely with BenchPrep’s commercial and product goals. This highly cross-functional role involves close partnerships with Sales, Marketing, Product, Customer Success, and Professional Services.
Key Responsibilities:
Go-To-Market Strategy and Execution: Serve as the go-to-market expert, leading the planning and execution of product launches. Develop comprehensive strategies that coordinate efforts across Marketing, Sales, Product, and Customer Success. Establish and monitor KPIs to align with BenchPrep’s strategic objectives and market demands.
Sales Enablement: Own Sales Enablement by equipping internal teams with essential tools, including training, sales decks, marketing collateral, RFI/RFP support, and more.
Content Development: Define and produce high-quality content that supports marketing campaigns. Create assets including demos, pitch decks, case studies, webinars, explainer videos, blogs, and event presentations.
Strategic Market Intelligence, and Persona Development: Conduct in-depth market and competitive analysis to identify high-growth segments and customer needs. Inform market segmentation, product strategy, pricing, and feature prioritization while developing detailed buyer personas.
Product Adoption and ARR Optimization: Collaborate with Customer Success to boost product adoption and wallet share. Write and distribute product release notes to ensure customers have the necessary resources and information for new functionality.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Align and strategize with Product Management, Sales, and Customer Success teams, providing strategic insights and actionable intelligence.
Expansion Revenue: Drive revenue growth by identifying opportunities for upselling additional products, features, or services to existing customers.
Customer Insights: Gather and analyze customer feedback to gain deep insights to inform product development and refine marketing strategies.
Required Skills and Experience:
B2B SaaS Experience: At least 4+ years of product marketing experience in a B2B SaaS environment—EdTech experience is a plus!
Proven GTM Expertise: Demonstrable experience in owning and successfully executing go-to-market strategies.
Campaign Development and Execution: Experience creating and executing marketing campaigns designed to drive revenue, increase product adoption, and enhance customer retention. Ability to demonstrate past successes through quantifiable metrics.
Strategic Marketing Skills: Strong strategic thinking with the ability to align marketing strategies with business goals. Capable of conducting thorough market and competitive analysis to inform strategic decisions.
Cross-Functional Team Leadership: Proven ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project and organizational goals.
Analytical and Data-Driven: Strong analytical skills with a knack for data-driven decision making.
Excellent Storytelling & Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with a strong ability to craft compelling product stories that highlight impact and engage diverse audiences.
Adaptability and Initiative: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment. Must be proactive, willing to take on new challenges and adapt strategies as needed.
Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel to industry conferences and events as required (approximately 3-5 per year).

At BenchPrep, we pride ourselves on offering a great total rewards package to each employee, including medical and ancillary benefits, potential for yearly bonus, stipends for work-from-home expenses, flexible paid time off (our version of unlimited PTO), annual professional development stipend dollars, and of course, a competitive base salary. The salary range for this position is between $100,000 – $135,000, and is set based on Chicago market data. Please note this refers to the amount BenchPrep is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
