About The Role

Scorpion is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Vertical Solution Product Marketing Manager to join our dynamic product marketing team. As a key player, you will collaborate closely with our corporate marketing, sales, product, and customer success teams to shape and execute the go-to-market strategy for our home services sub-verticals. You will leverage your expertise in the target vertical to craft solutions-focused messaging, integrated campaigns, sales and marketing collateral, and more. Your deep understanding of your vertical will enable you to develop and execute impactful marketing strategies aimed at driving widespread adoption and contributing directly to revenue growth and customer acquisition.

What your success will look like

Develop Vertical Subject Matter Expertise: Cultivate an in-depth understanding of your specific home services sub-vertical, including market dynamics, key trends, regulatory environment, and competitive landscape.
Conduct Market Research & Analysis: Perform comprehensive research to identify the needs, pain points, decision-making processes, and buying behaviors of key personas within the vertical.
Identify Customer Segmentation: Segment the target audience within the vertical to tailor marketing efforts effectively.
Define Product Sub-Positioning & Messaging: Establish and refine product positioning, messaging, and value propositions that resonate with the vertical’s target audience.
Develop and Execute Go-To-Market Strategy: Create and implement comprehensive go-to-market strategies, alongside our core PMMs, ensuring alignment with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders.
Create Content Development: Produce a library of industry-specific content, including whitepapers, case studies, blog posts, webinars, and infographics.
Support Sales Enablement: Equip the sales team with the knowledge and tools needed to effectively sell to the vertical, including sales collateral, training materials, and pitch decks.
Develop Customer Engagement & Advocacy Programs: Initiate programs to ensure the success and satisfaction of customers within the vertical, fostering advocacy and referrals.
Track and Report Performance: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor metrics to assess the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and inform ongoing optimization efforts.
Plan and Participate in Events: Organize and participate in industry conferences, trade shows, and webinars to increase visibility and network with potential customers.
Develop Thought Leadership & Industry Presence: Create thought leadership pieces that address industry trends, challenges, and future outlooks, positioning your company as an expert in the vertical.
Gather Customer Insights & Feedback: Establish feedback loops with the sales team and customers to continuously gather insights and refine messaging and strategies.
Analyze Competitive Intelligence: Evaluate competitors’ offerings, strengths, weaknesses, and market positioning within the vertical.
Form and support Vertical Partnerships: Support our strategic partnerships with industry associations, influencers, and complementary technology providers, including integrations.

Who You Are And What You Bring

Bachelor’s Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Product Marketer, in B2B product/service marketing.
Certifications: Pragmatic Marketing or PMA Certified – Preferred.
Target Audience Experience: Experience marketing to the SMB audience.
Strong Storyteller: Exceptional writing skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives that resonate with the target audience.
In-depth knowledge of the Target Vertical: Extensive experience and understanding of the specific home services sub-vertical.
Market Research & Client Segmentation: Proven ability to conduct detailed market research and segment clients effectively.
Analytical Skills & Proficiency in Data Analysis: Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in analyzing marketing metrics, conducting ROI analysis, and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs). Ability to derive actionable insights from performance metrics.
Value Proposition Development: Expertise in developing clear and compelling value propositions and messaging strategies.
Strategic Marketing Planning: Experience in developing and executing strategic marketing plans.
Customer Advocacy & Relationship Management: Proven success in developing customer advocacy programs and managing relationships.
High-Growth Company Experience: Experience within a high-growth digital marketing company is a plus.
Self-Starter: Must be a self-starter who can build a good rapport with internal stakeholders and peers.
Adaptability: Willingness to adjust to changing priorities and adapt to new products or new projects quickly.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, collaborating with product management, sales, and marketing teams.
Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills to influence stakeholders, drive alignment, and lead product launches.

Compensation

We acknowledge that states have passed legislation promoting pay transparency. As a national employer, Scorpion has made the decision to post our expected pay rate or pay range (as applicable) in all our job postings, regardless of geographic location.

The base salary range is $100,000 (entry-level) – $120,000 (highly experienced), exclusive of fringe benefits. If you are hired at Scorpion, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. Additionally, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the total salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary bonuses or commissions.
